Judith is an HCPC registered dietitian. She has a wealth of clinical experience and expertise in many aspects of healthcare but especially both adult diabetes care and weight management in the UK. Judith currently works in the NHS within Specialist Diabetes Care where she leads a Young Adult diabetes service.

Judith became an MI trainer and a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) in 2000. With over 25 years of experience delivering MI training, Judith started her own consultancy in 2008 to focus on delivering motivational interviewing training and has delivered hundreds of trainings over the past decades to a variety of professionals working in healthcare, social care, and other professional groups both nationally and internationally. She has been an active member of MINT since joining the organisation and has held many roles. 

Judith became involved in motivational interviewing (MI) to improve clinical care with her patients and continues to utilise MI in this way. She has extensive experience in MI training and helping people to learn MI through coaching and supervision and is a MINT Certified Trainer. Judith has extensively presented on Motivational Interviewing throughout her career, and is passionate about its role in supporting clinicians to do what they do better.

Katy has been a registered nurse for 23 years. Initially working as a Renal Specialist Nurse and then for the last 13 years working in diabetes.

For 10 years Katy worked as a Lead Diabetes Specialist Nurse in Derby. She led the Young Adult and Transition Service and was also part of the Insulin Pump and Technology Multidisciplinary Team.

In my current role I work as a Clinical Educator for a diabetes technology company.

Along with Katy's wealth of clinical knowledge in management of long-term conditions, she has a passion for helping people make the changes they seek by using motivational interviewing techniques within patient consultations.

How this online webinar will work

Once you have booked your place, SBK Healthcare will correspond with you using the email address you provided at the time of booking. Within one week of the online training taking place, you will be sent final details of the course including the full agenda, programme timings and your Zoom joining instructions. This email will include a joining link that can be used to access the course.

Practice sessions are available. If you would like to attend a zoom practice session before the event takes place, please let us know by emailing bookings@sbk-healthcare.co.uk. You will have the opportunity to meet an SBK Healthcare staff member who will ensure you are able to access zoom, that your camera and microphone work and you are fully set-up for the day. This is optional but if you do wish to attend, please use the same device that you plan to use on the day.

On the day, when registration starts, you will be able to join the course by initially entering a waiting room when there may be a short wait. The forum will include screen breaks, as well as topic themed interactive sessions which will take place in the breakout rooms.
